Portland, Ore., may be full of sustainability-minded environmentalists, but you can
be sure it's also full of sustainability-minded lawyers. Lewis & Clark Law School's
environmental law program is consistently
recognized as one of the top in the country, and this summer students from other
schools have a chance to see why.
Several courses will be taught during two sessions lasting roughly one
month each. Offerings include courses in
Solar and Wind Law, Oil and Gas Law,
Environmental Law, Administrative Law
and International Wildlife Law. Students
can learn from top-notch professors while
spending a month or two in Portland. Not
a bad way to spend a summer.
"Our summer visitors - both students
and professors - are always impressed
with the beauty of the campus, which is
located next to Tryon Creek State (Natural
Area) and close to downtown Portland; our
friendly faculty and staff; and the rigor and
quality of our courses," said Lucy Brehm,
assistant director of the program.
Brehm noted that in addition to the
highly regarded coursework, students appreciate the informal get-togethers that allow
for networking and professional interaction.
