When evaluating results of an audit, legal risks or liabilities related to a transaction, an environmental lawyer must communicate with and relate to different sectors of society. Environmental attorneys who work in law firms generally represent corporate clients. A limited number of attorneys work in the public interest sector. Environmental lawyers recommend taking several courses. They include environmental law survey and administrative law. But most importantly, get to know your environmental law professors. Participating in a moot court program is one of the best ways to develop your ability to think on your feet both inside and outside of the classroom.
