A huge part of attracting a diverse student body is looking past the numbers in law school admissions, said Dean Frank Wu of Wayne State University Law School in Detroit. “We look at the entire portfolio that a candidate presents,” he said. Though the school still considers LSAT scores and GPA in its admissions policies, it also pays attention to other qualities such as leadership skills and work or military experience.
