Upon a chance encounter with the world of hats a few years ago, Mo immediately realized the intriguing intersection between her interests in aesthetics and personal expression and the dynamic, high fashion domain of millinery. One year ago in November, 2006 Mo opened up Zsa Zsa's Hat Salon in downtown Calgary, determined to bring the exciting, fun, and alluring world of hats to the rapidly evolving fashion centre our city is becoming, What is Mo Fraser’s fondest winter memory? Skating with my mother as a child at night at our community rink. I vividly recall the crisp chill of the air, the cutting and swooshing sounds of our skates against the quiet of the night. I can see the black sky, the stars, the white mounds of snow piled up against the boards of the rink. I especially remember the love and warmth my mother and I shared, our feeling of freedom, our smiles, and laughter.
