Divers may also visit the Lycoming, a wooden steamer that caught fire in 1910 and was cut loose from the Erieau dock and set adrift to save the wooden houses near the dock. The Lycoming offers a clear view of the large propeller, steam engine and boilers. From late May to early October, weekend charters are available for novice or advanced divers with departures from the villages of Erieau and Wheatley.
