Fish cakes, homemade beans, maragh, assorted meats, stew and other dishes, biscuits and desserts. 5 pm, cost $10 per person. June 7th: Pub Night sponsored by the Giant MacAskill Heirs Association is being held at the ShaunAckie Ceilidh Hall, located in the Giant MacAskill Museum. Steamed mussels and local entertainment. 504 Englishtown Road. 8 pm, cost $7 per person. June 7th: Ingonish United Church Lobster Supper is being held at the Ingonish Volunteer Fire & Community Hall starting at 4 pm, cost $12 per plate. Take-out only. June 7th: Bay St. Lawrence Community Feis. A fun and educational event with Gaelic language, work shops, and a milling frolic beginning at noon in Bay St. Lawrence. June 8th: St. Margaret’s of Scotland CWL Annual Lobster Dinner. Tea, coffee, and dessert included. Located in St. Margaret’s Village. June 14th: “The Maritime Way of Life” by Charlie Rhinedress. Lobster Dinner & Theatre being held at the Hall of the Clans, Gaelic College, 6pm. (902) 295-3411). “The Maritime Way of Life” - a madcap lampoon of every Maritime stereotype. The play features a quirky rural Maritime family trying everything possible to wangle an insurance settlement for a highly suspect accident. Nominated for Best Comedy of the Year at the Montreal Comedy Festival, this play has appeared all over Atlantic Canada to rave reviews. The St. Ann’s Bay Players, known for their fine comic character actors, are pleased to present its Cape Breton premiere. Fast paced and absurdly, screamingly funny and a bit dark, the play will be a hit with the whole family. June 14th: Traditional Lobster Take-Out Dinner, St. Ann’s Bay United Church, Indian Brook. June 14th: Potluck Supper at the Wilson United Church Hall in Margaree Centre. 5 pm. Adults $8, Children under 12, $4. June 14th – 15th: Celtic Quilt Guild display, demonstrations and sale at the Belle Cote and Area Community Centre. Linda Campbell from Fiddle Stitches will also be on site.
