The Daymon Difference - Winter 2008/2009 - (Page 13) A lot of Pizza and People Make for a lot of Fun at Aeon Daymon associates at Aeon in Japan spend plenty of time together in the office – plenty of time! Now they are figuring out new and fun ways to spend time with each other outside of the office as well. First they sponsored a Morning Coffee Hour where they all got together for coffee and pastries before work, and that went pretty well. So next they took a stab at some Ichimura-san evening entertainment and held a “Pizza spins the tunes on his homemade Bust” from 6 to 7:30pm for which about 130 turntable. associates showed up for the chow and chat. Naoko Kitahara and Nazeer Ahmed, both “Fun Committee” members, went to the nearby Costco (also a Daymon customer, of course) and picked up 20 pizzas and Costco brand beverages of various toppings and flavors, respectively. Yutaka Ichimura, Senior Art Director of the Design Division, played the role of DJ with his handmade turntable and relaxing music. “This kind of evening gives associates from different departments an opportunity to take a break and mingle, and hopefully get to know their teammates better,” says pizza lover and VP Bharat Rupani. “It was a good start and we are gearing up to have more events such as these organized by our Fun Committee.” Aeon associates enjoy the chow and chat during “pizza bust.” The DRC was filled with mischief Thursday October 30 as the guys, gals and ghouls celebrated Halloween by illustrating a given theme. This was the first time in DRC history that the entire building took part in a Halloween Costume Party. The BDT dressed up as “product categories,” the Design department turned its area into a “Karn Evil,” and the folks in HR rummaged for buried treasure as shipwrecked Pirates. IS was the “binary code” and Marketing scored with a sports theme. The day turned out to be an interactive forum of fun and tom foolery for all DRC associates.
