John Muir Health Progress Report 2006/2007 - (Page 1) John Muir Health is a not-for-profit organization that has a community-based approach to healthcare that is reflected in its broad presence throughout Contra Costa County and portions of Solano County. Offering a wide array of clinical services at its two medical centers in Walnut Creek and Concord, John Muir Health also has outpatient centers in Brentwood and Rossmoor, the Behavioral Health Center in Concord, numerous laboratory sites, and an extensive physician network with more than 800 physicians and some 80,000 enrollees. While a local healthcare organization, John Muir Health is a nationally recognized leader in many disciplines – including cardiovascular, medicine, orthopedics, cancer, neurosciences, obstetrics, digestive disorders, and emergency medicine – and is also an active participant in leading-edge medical research and clinical studies. Its commitment to community education and outreach programs is equally strong, reflecting its dedication to improving the health of the communities we serve. All of us at John Muir Health are deeply dedicated to “exceeding patient expectations.” We have made this credo the theme of our progress report this year, and as the pages that follow illustrate, it motivates everyone and everything we do throughout the organization.
