Building on John Muir Health’s long experience with airborne patient transport, the program will give remote and rural hospitals access to the highly advanced technology and perinatal team in Walnut Creek. “Could I have gotten this great medical idea up and running so quickly – or at all – at another medical organization?” Dr. Traynor asks. “Highly doubtful. This is a creative idea that can improve the health of both the individual patients and the larger community. It’s innovative, it’s forward-looking and it’s great medicine. And that’s why I practice at John Muir Health.” 11
