Annual Review 2007 - (Page 3) Spotlight on our Staff “Dewberry has allowed me the flexibility to gain experience in all different types of engineering. I have also been able to travel and bring the Dewberry presence to other parts of the world.” “I was honored to receive a Dewberry Client Focus Award. To be recognized by my peers was humbling and it confirmed my commitment to the community in which I work, and to this industry.” “In May 2007, I received the North Carolina Division of Emergency Management Director’s Award for Outstanding Service and Leadership in Floodplain Management.” “I was excited and humbled to be nominated and accepted into Dewberry’s annual Emerging Leaders program, a year-long leadership development program.” “Dewberry has provided me with the means to advance my career. My supervisors have challenged me with increasing levels of responsibility, and they’ve helped me to succeed.” Kwame Amos Baah, PE, PMP, began his career with Dewberry in 1997. Since then he has enhanced his expertise by working with several of the firm’s business units. Kwame started out working with the National Flood Insurance Program at Dewberry; he later moved to the military programs group where he became the project manager for a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project in South Korea. After returning from that deployment in 2006, Kwame joined Dewberry’s site/civil engineering team. Neal Banerjee, PE, CFM, came to Dewberry in 2001 to provide water resources expertise in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he is based. In addition, Tara received a Dewberry Client Focus Award in 2007. She is a Certified Floodplain Manager. She has also been active in her local design community through the American Institute of Architects Eastern Oklahoma Chapter. Since joining Dewberry in 1999, Todd Yanoff, PE—a resident engineer on Dewberry’s New York State Thruway Authority contract— has taken advantage of training and education opportunities the firm offers.
