Storrs Congregational Church | Storrs, Connecticut “Installing this cell site in an existing steeple involved collaboration between three offices and multiple disciplines. This complex telecommunications project also required transforming a classroom into a mechanical equipment room and beautifying an adjacent plain brick face building with false columns and pilasters to conceal conduits, cables, and refrigerant lines.” Chris Daddi, PE | Project Manager, New Haven Route 1 Improvements | Pennsylvania and New York “While the mountainous terrain and poor soils presented a set of design challenges, they were compounded by the size of the project and the need to meet the client’s aggressive schedule. Working with Stanbery Development, in conjunction with Lake Manassas LLC, we have provided engineering, surveying, force main and stormwater management design, while working closely with Stanbery’s team to create a shopping center with a main street design. We were able to preserve much of the woodwork and Art Deco detailing in the courtrooms and judges’ chambers. This long-term recovery and master plan includes a comprehensive look at police, courts, jail and juvenile facilities, and how they should move forward with rebuilding New Orleans’ judicial system.” Ron Budzinski, FAIA | Senior Principal, Peoria (Paul Kluber, Chroma Studio, photography) Hurricane Modeling and Mapping | Puerto Rico “Under our task order contract with Puerto Rico, we used ADCIRC, a two-dimensional hydrodynamic model for storm surge generation.
