CENTRAL
DESOTO
First settled in 1847, DeSoto is one of the oldest settlements in North Texas. Today DeSoto is a progressive community, rich in diversity and the cultural arts with a small-town feeling.
Visitors to our community will enjoy a wide range of wonderful hotels, restaurant selections and shopping choices. Our new Town Center development offers a pedestrian-oriented, urban village environment in a suburban community that offers easy access to City Hall, the civic center, library, an outdoor amphitheater, access to the Roy Orr Trail, an indoor performing arts center and the fitness and recreation facility.
DeSoto is the largest and most diverse city in southwest Dallas County and was named an All-American City by the National Civic League in 2006. We invite you to discover DeSoto and all we have to offer.
