SULPHUR SPRINGS

Sulphur Springs – Nestled in rolling farm country in beautiful northeast Texas... and only 85 miles from the heart of Dallas, Sulphur Springs offers an experience far removed from the grind of life in the big city. Whether you’re seeking family activities, learning experiences, fishing, hunting, shopping, or just some quiet time away from stress... You’re going to love this place!

Four major lakes and trophy bass within a thirty minute drive; treasure laden antique shops; bargains galore at factory direct stores; beautiful city parks; a collection of restored buildings and prehistoric dinosaur bones at Heritage Park; a beautifully restored Court House on the square; and the Southwest Dairy Museum and Learning Center, where the history of milk production is presented in dioramas, static displays, and hands-on exhibits. If nothing else, meander down Main Street and have a meal or relax under our shade trees and just enjoy life.

A variety of annual events are held in Sulphur Springs: the Dairy Festival and Texas State Champion Homemade Ice Cream Freeze-Off, the Independence Celebration, including a live concert and fireworks show; and the Hopkins County World Champion Stew Contest is a part of the annual Fall Festival.
