Happy New Year! We hope you are welcoming
2018 and the challenges and opportunities it
brings with great excitement and anticipation.
We encourage you to join us next month for
Digital Dealer Workshops (DDW) Chicago, a
one-and-a-half-day event with an educational
program designed to help you gain new insight, ideas and actionable strategies to not just
meet your 2018 goals but to exceed them.
Much to our delight, we are partnering with
the Chicago Automobile Trade Association
(CATA) and the world-famous Chicago Auto
Show, which will be held in conjunction with
DDW Chicago!
The special section on the pages to follow will
provide you with a glimpse into the CATA
and the Chicago Auto Show. On page 28 is a
cover story interview with 2018 Chairman of
the Chicago Auto Show John Hennessy, who
also owns River View Ford, in Oswego, Illinois.
John has spent more than 30 years in the auto
retailing industry.

DDW Speakers, and page 34 for an article written by worldwide automotive trainer Sean V.
Bradley, CSP, who is facilitating Day 1's Keynote,
which will feature a panel of top-performing
dealer principals and GMs.

Last but certainly not least, we'd like to share
with you that our closing Keynote Address will
be delivered by 2017-2018 NADA Chairman
Mark Scarpelli. Mark previously served on the
CATA Board of Directors. He is also president
of Raymond Chevrolet and Raymond Kia in
Antioch, Illinois.
One year ago, we had the pleasure of sitting
down with Mark Scarpelli for our January
2017 cover story interview (if you missed, it,
you can read it here: digitaldealer.com/interview-2017-nada-chairman/). We were fascinated by his unique skill set, which combines an
understanding of what's going on in Washington with an awareness of what's important to
