AWARDS CEREMONY Sunday, January 7 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Downtown Disney® Pleasure Island On Sunday, the Overall Marathon male and female runners and wheelchair winners will also receive their awards at a presentation to be held in the media tent. Overall male and female and wheelchair winners of Disney’s Family Fun Run 5K will receive awards after the race. INDIVIDUAL AWARDS Half Marathon and Marathon The following awards for both the Half Marathon and the Marathon will be distributed during the Awards Ceremony, which will take place Sunday evening, January 7, at Downtown Disney® Pleasure Island: • • • • • • Top 3 Overall Male Top 3 Overall Female Top 3 Male Wheelchair Top 3 Female Wheelchair Male Masters Champion Female Masters Champion New in 2007: Because of the number of people that participate in both the Marathon and the Half Marathon, it can often take several minutes to cross the start line. In the interest of fairness, age group award winners will now be based on Chip Time (net time). Overall awards will continue to be based on Gun Time. CERTIFICATES – MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON Participants who ﬁnish the Marathon within seven hours and the Half Marathon within three and a half hours will receive a certiﬁcate. These certiﬁcates will be mailed out in March along with the Marathon Recap CD. Participants who complete Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge by completing both the Half Marathon and the Marathon within the pacing requirements will receive a Half Marathon certiﬁcate, a Marathon certiﬁcate, and a special Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge certiﬁcate. AWARD CATEGORIES Age Groups (Male and Female) 14-17 (Half Marathon Only) 18-24 25-29 55-59 30-34 60-64 35-39 65-69 40-44 70-74 45-49 75 & Over 50-54 Military Overall Half Marathon male and female winners and wheelchair winners will receive their awards at a presentation to be held in the media tent following the ﬁnish on Saturday. [23] EVENT RESULTS Results will be posted at Downtown Disney® Pleasure Island at the Awards Ceremony. A complete list of results for the Half Marathon will be posted on Saturday evening on disneyworldmarathon.com. The complete list of results for the Marathon will be posted on Sunday evening on disneyworldmarathon.com. Family and friends will be able to track participants with live online results, also available on disneyworldmarathon.com.
