With the yearly support of thousands of volunteers, the WALT DISnEy WORLD® Marathon Weekend has helped Team In Training® (TnT) raise millions of dollars for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. TnT, the world’s largest endurance sports training program, supports The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by raising funds to aid the organization’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. The WALT DISnEy WORLD® Marathon Weekend is its largest fundraising event. Over $6 million was raised during the 2007 race alone. To learn more, visit www.leukemia.org. sporTs enThusiasTs Over 5,000 volunteers will assist throughout the WALT DISnEy WORLD® Marathon Weekend on behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. • Approximately 700 volunteers will assist with packet pickup during Disney’s Health and Fitness Expo • Over 100 volunteers will assist with Disney’s Family Fun Run 5K and Kids’ Races • 900 medical volunteers will staff Florida Hospital’s medical stations during the Half Marathon and Marathon. • Over 1,500 volunteers will staff Start Line, Course Monitor, Food Stop, Water Stop, and Finish Line locations during the Half Marathon on Saturday • Approximately 2,000 volunteers will staff the Marathon on Sunday {35} http://www.leukemia.org http://www.leukemia.org
