Walt Disney World Marathon 2009 - (Page 17) Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge At Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge packet pick-up, you will receive a special wristband. This wristband must be worn until the completion of the Half Marathon. This wristband will help to ensure that participants have completed both the Half Marathon and Marathon before they receive their exclusive Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge medal. After checking in at the Expo, make sure to attend one of the Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge sessions at the Speaker Series. After completion of the Half Marathon on Saturday, you must check in at the Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge tent near the Finish Line. The tent will be clearly marked. Checking in at this tent is mandatory and will verify that you have completed the Half Marathon in the allotted time. A second wristband will be provided and must be worn until the completion of the Marathon on Sunday. After completing the Marathon, please check in again at the Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge tent near the Finish Line. At the tent, if you have completed both the Half Marathon and the Marathon within the minimum pacing requirements, you will receive the prestigious Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge medal to celebrate your accomplishment. 17
