Our advice is “buyers only know what they see not the way it’s going to be!” Badly worn or very outdated carpeting should be replaced before you put your home on the market. Offering a buyer a credit or a discount off the selling price is far less effective and will always end up costing you more money and slow the selling process. Pick a light-color short plush carpet - a neutral beige is the safest color choice. Q. What do I do with my existing furniture while my house is being staged? A. If you have chosen to rent furniture to make your house more appealing, you can find many companies that will store your furniture for you.
