PROBONO Bulletin - Summer 2008 - (Page 29) SIGnATURE PRoJECT UPDATE San Diego Signature Project Update ur San Diego offices recently launched their signature project: Serving Those Who Serve Our Country. This project is dedicated to providing legal and community services to the veteran population of San Diego County. San Diego is home to numerous Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard installations, as well as many military personnel and families. With such a large military presence, our lawyers and staff have a deep connection to the veteran population and are eager to give back to those who have served our country. O We are partnering with local organizations such as Veterans Village of San Diego and San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program to provide litigation and transactional support to veterans and to participate in community service projects that support them. Our goal is to dedicate 5,000 hours of pro bono legal work, in addition to community service projects, to the project during each of the next three years. A variety of opportunities for both legal work and community service will be offered, and we aspire to have each member of our offices participate in some aspect of the project.
