A few months after the closing, the DLA Piper team was invited to visit the campus to meet the staff and some students. They were met at the ferry across the Puget Sound by Dr. Steve Arnold, the board member who had been their principal contact. After a tour of the campus, they were led to a room in which a team of students had prepared a delicious meal. West Sound Academy is an independent Middle and Senior High School that provides parallel tracks for academic education and instruction in the visual, musical and other arts, one of which, as the team learned at the dinner, includes the culinary arts. The DLA Piper team was presented with photographs of the entire student body and cards featuring the artwork of some of the students. Pamela Westhoff (San Diego) led the team that worked on the West Sound project, with assistance from Kristin Franceschi (Baltimore); Kevin Reisch (San Diego); and Nancy Grauman and Steven Yentzer (both Seattle).
