Legacy - Volume 3, Number 2 - (Page Cover2) Welcome Presidents’ those of our AECOM sister companies, CTE and DMJM Aviation. Our collective strength CTE, DMJM Aviation and DMJM Harris share many common strengths. From railways to roads and from marine to airports, the collective level of expertise and experience shared among the three sister companies is one of the reasons why AECOM is ranked #1 in Transportation and #16 in Power by Engineering News-Record. This commonality of experience enables us to offer our clients an unmatched level of expertise and resources for projects across the country. This issue of Legacy highlights a sampling of these success stories, beginning on page 4 with an article that details some of the projects that DMJM Aviation and DMJM Harris are executing in California to help renovate, maintain and expand airports throughout the state. Our clients and their communities are the true benefactors of this partnership; the Wisconsin DOT’s (WisDot) Marquette Interchange is emblematic of these efforts. WisDOT commissioned CTE to manage the core section of its $810-million facelift—the largest and most complex project in the agency’s history. Our project team ensured that traffic still moved smoothly through construction and that the local community faced minimal impact. You can read more about this project on page 2. Many other communities are seeing the benefit of our commitment to sustainability. Our innovative project work ranges from retrofitting existing buildings to realize energy savings, to helping promote alternative energy services. You can read more about this, including our recent achievement of ISO 14001 certification in DMJM Harris’s New York headquarters, on page 14. But beyond any industry and client rankings, the real strength of CTE, DMJM Aviation and DMJM Harris is our people. It’s their hard work, dedication and expertise that have enabled us to partner with our clients to work on some of the most important projects across the country. By looking to the future, the employees of CTE, DMJM Aviation and DMJM Harris are committed to using their skills, passion and dedication to make the world a better place.
