You need to make a tool to remove the rubber. The tool is simply an old clutch plate and a piece of bar stock (see photo). To remove and replace the rubber pieces, use the tool to apply TIP OF THE MONTH force to the hub to to help hold theclutch hub and thrust washer to ok the play ou bearings durin t of this clutch g assembly. . Grease is us make it easier to ed here pry out and install the rubber pieces while the inner hub is held in a vise. Place the outer hub on as it would be when installed in the primary and then use the tool to push and pull. You can use your good inner hub for this job so long as itʼs held in a soft-jawed vise, meaning the sides are covered with either hard wood or aluminum. A junk inner hub also can be used with steel jaws as shown in the photo.
