Do any of you readers remember these issues? Are you still “saving them” like I do? 1980 was the year we opened our first shop in Lemont, Illinois. Long hours, poor economy and a financially poor owner had tried really hard, but we wound up closing down in 1981 and moving back to the house and a rented storage trailer. To be continued next issue. 30 YEARS 300 ISSUES Our “Parts Department” at a local rental lock-up. In 1986 we tried a new name of “Walneck’s Old Time Cycles” and went to a glossy cover. Looked nice, but proved too expensive at that time Here was our showroom, with many consignment classics. Bad economy, contributed to us shutting the doors, and moving back to the house. Meanwhile here was our 2-car garage with a Busman Double Adult Saloon. We had the “Holy Cow” Harley seen on the cover. Came from a local bar quite a machine just one of MANY strange motorcycles to pass thru our portals!
