Explore a 139 year old lighthouse on Cana Island, and learn about the County’s rich shipbuilding history in Sturgeon Bay. “Freshwater Fury” – an extensive new exhibit opens in Sturgeon Bay on May 24, 2008, and the 149-ft tug John Purves will open mid-July for daily tours. Over 200 shipwrecks lie in the waters surrounding Door County and have attracted divers for years.
