I bring a projector to the shoot, and when we get a good take, we review the footage and wolfe starts to interact with it. It’s an involved process, but really fun.” also working on Letter’s End are arizona theater company’s charge scenic artist sarah smith and carpenter anthony Richards. smith, who says she’s “doing the paintrelated stuff,” enthuses, “It’s a pleasure and an honor to work with wolfe and help him execute his vision. His raw creativity is inspiring.” In Letter’s End, we accompany Bowart’s character as he ventures through the aging process, simultaneously reliving his past. Here he is working in a “dead letter office” in some fantasy world cellar. somewhat mindlessly feeding discarded envelopes and packages into an antique furnace, he is jarred out of his reverie and enters a world that he had closed off to himself. “although Letter’s End is at times surreal in its staging and story – full of circus tricks and magic – at its heart, it’s a piece about memory and legacy,” Bowart explains. although the magic of Letter’s End definitely intrigues and provides that “lean forward factor,” what will hook audiences and stay with them is the mood and mystery of the story.
