THE BUZZ Luxury cruise line Seabourn will take the wraps off four Penthouse Spa Suites aboard its Seabourn Quest vessel when it emerges from drydock this month. The new suite design was executed by Norwegian architecture/ design firm Yran & Storbraaten, the original designer behind Seabourn Quest, Seabourn Odyssey and Seabourn Sojourn. The latter two ships will be also equipped with the new suites during their next scheduled drydocks. “Some guests have expressed a desire to incorporate a more complete spa vacation experience into their cruises, and our Penthouse Spa Suites are designed to fulfill that wish,” Seabourn president Richard Meadows explains. The new suites are located directly above The Spa at Seabourn and are accessed by a spiral staircase. Each room features a private veranda, living and dining areas, a separate bedroom, walk-in closet, glass door, floor-to-ceiling windows and a spa shower. Other in-suite amenities include a choice of fragrance to be diffused during turndown and spa soundtrack. Seabourn is a small-ship ultra luxury cruise line that offers a fleet of six vessels with either 104 or 225 suites.
