learn new tricks, this Workshop will give you solid basics as well
as specialty techniques. You'll leave with an enthusiasm for your
craft and lots of new ideas to try in your own shop or studio.
In this Workshop, you'll learn:
* How to refresh or be taught about hooping skills and see
some new wrinkles in hooping devices. Get your hands on
some hoops and practice your hooping skills with an expert
instructor by your side
* Test your needle knowledge with Bill demonstrating how
your needle selection impacts your embroidery appearance
and longevity
* Add some specialty techniques to your repertoire to
become the embroiderer of choice in your area. Learn
about appliqué, fringe, shadow work and more to set your

and What Do I Do With It?

cut-away and tear-away. Today's embroiderer has so many
choices possible you wonder, "What are they all used for?"
Embroidery expert Bill Garvin will explain the uses for common
and uncommon stabilizers. You will see stitched samples and
receive explanations for the stabilizers used for each example.
In this Seminar, you'll learn:
* How to match stabilizers to stable and unstable materials.
Learn the logic of how stitch count, holding method and
other factors affect stabilizer choice
* The best uses for specialty stabilizers including wash-away,
adhesive and fusible types. These pricier stabilizers pay for
themselves when properly used and Bill shows you how to
use and conserve them
* The best methods to remove stabilizers and toppings for
an invisible, professional finish to all of your embroidery
creations
