The FEI World Equestrian Games™ (WEG), which are administered by the Fédération
Equestre Internationale (FEI), the worldwide governing body of equestrian sport, is the major
international championship event for the eight core equestrian disciplines of Jumping,
Dressage and Para-Equestrian Dressage, Eventing, Driving, Endurance, Vaulting and Reining.
WHAT OTHER CITIES HAVE HOSTED
The inaugural FEI World Equestrian Games™ were hosted
in Stockholm (SWE) in 1990. Since then, the Games have
been staged in The Hague (NED) in 1994, Rome (ITA) in 1998,
Jerez (ESP) in 2002, and Aachen (GER) in 2006. The first
Games to be organized outside Europe were the Alltech FEI
World Equestrian Games™ in Kentucky (USA) 2010, where
57 countries were represented by 800 human athletes and
their horses. The Games returned to Europe for the 2014
edition, the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™, which
was held in Normandy (FRA).
HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS?
Tickets start as low at $20 and increase based on ticket and
competition type. Taxes and service fees apply.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ATTEND THE GAMES?
An average of 500,000 people attend the Games over the
two-week period. TIEC is preparing for a daily attendance of
40,000 - 50,000 people.
WHAT KINDS OF TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE
TO THE WEG?
Individual competition tickets are available in addition to
package tickets, which include All Session Day Passes, All
Discipline Passes, Weekend Passes, Week Passes and the
All Games Pass. A General Grounds Day Pass will also be
sold that gives attendees access to the World Equine Expo™
vendors, exhibitions and demonstrations, but not
WHAT IS THE WORLD EQUINE EXPO™?
The inaugural World Equine Expo™ is being held concurrent
to the WEG at Tryon International Equestrian Center. The
Expo will be an annual event intended to create a platform
to honor, celebrate, and promote horses and horsemanship
through a significant trade fair, demonstrations,
educational seminars, clinics, panel discussions, an equine
art and film festival, and competitions on topics critical
to raising awareness, and strengthening, innovating and
expanding global equestrianism. All WEG tickets grant
access to the Expo.
WHEN CAN I RECEIVE MY TICKETS?
You will receive electronic confirmation of your ticket
reservation purchase immediately after making your
purchase. You will receive your tickets via email on July 1st
following seat assignments.
