2017-2018 Far West Skier's Guide - 24
As the last several pages have outlined,
the Far West Ski Association has a fabulous
travel program. It provides many destinations
domestically and internationally for its members to experience. Many of the participants
sign up as soon as these trips are announced.
They have met wonderful travel companions
on these ski weeks, adventure trips and/or
cruises and look forward to seeing these new
found friends on their next trips. It is a wonderful way to see the world and explore many
different resorts, cultures and have memorable
experiences with friends and colleagues.
In addition to the excellent FWSA Travel
destinations, most of the member councils and
larger clubs also plan ski weeks, midweek, extended weekend and weekend trips. Some have
regular bus trips to local resorts. Check out
the Council and Club section beginning on
page 65 of this issue. Most of the council trips
are mentioned. Often club trips are also cited.
These trips are open to all their members, but
occasionally there is space available allowing
members of other clubs to sign up. If you see
a trip you are interested in, contact the council
or club to see if you can be included. There
may be a price difference due to leaving from
a different location or airport, but if their destination is on your bucket list, check it out!
