Hour. Then, at 6:30 pm, the doors to the beautiful Atlantis Grand Ballroom will be thrown
open, and it's time to enjoy a Welcome Party
like no other. Everyone entering into the party
will receive a coupon for a complimentary beverage until 8:00 pm. The event is free and
open to the public. You will have the opportunity to network with ski industry representatives, tour operators, lodging partners, hard
goods retailers and many more. You may
even see a ski celebrity or two among the
crowd. Meet and greet your favorite ski resort
representative to discuss possible trips and see
what they have up for auction during the
Silent Auction and Snowsports Trade Show
part of the evening. Bid on an adventure package or two, and mingle with friends. Then, follow the night up with music from our DJ
until the end of the evening.
Saturday morning, after a quick breakfast
and short business meeting, it's on to share in
all the other activities being presented.
Throughout the day, you will have many
choices. The Travel Expo, for trip planners
and decision makers, offers a second chance to
meet with the resort representatives to answer
questions you didn't get answered on Friday
night, or to plan another trip. Three Snowsports Leadership Academy sessions will present snowsport, leadership and club educational
topics. Forest Service personnel and celebrity
guests will be featured in the Public Affairs
Panels. New this year, will be a Racing Seminar, for current racers and those interested in
learning about the Far West Racing Association program. Midday, enjoy a wonderful, relaxing lunch and listen to our inspiring Keynote Speaker.
Saturday evening is when the Stampede
takes place in the ballroom. Everyone will
dress up for the Awards Banquet to honor all
those who have worked so hard over the past
year(s), and who will be recognized by their
peers for their outstanding contributions to
Far West Ski Association. All of this will be
followed up by more music and dancing, putting a wonderful end to an even more wonderful event.
