2017-2018 Far West Skier's Guide - 64-10
There Is So Much To Do
Around Lake Tahoe
When The Snow Flies!
Alpine skiing, nordic skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, dog-sledding or just enjoying the
views: whatever winter activities fits your style, there is something for you during the winter
months, too! The cerulean blue lake and azure skies contrast beautifully with the snow
covered peaks. What more could one ask for? Perhaps a camera to capture it all!

several that that will fit your desires. Spend
some extra time here and experience several

Alpine and nordic skiing are not the only activities available for family fun. Kids of all
ages will enjoy sledding or tubing over the
snow. Take a sleigh ride along the old Pony
Express Trail. Ride up the aerial tram to High
Camp for iceskating, or the Heavenly Gondola
for a picnic. if you are brave, compete in the
polar bear swim during Snowfest. Or, take the
M.S. Dixie II cruise to Emerald Island.
Have you ever skied at night? Extend
you day. Squaw Valley and Boreal Mountain
Resort give you the chance to watch the sun
go down. Night time lighting illuminates several runs. And, don't forget the night life! ss
