and the Tollackson Outstanding
Ski Club Award. Pacific Rim Alliance also took a 2nd place for
Outstanding Club Website. Don
Diego Ski Club, Karl Cikste, Editor, won the Wentworth Outstanding Publication Award.
San Diego Council of Ski Clubs',
Laura Meldrum, Webmaster, took
2nd place for Outstanding Council Website.
The clubs will be ending
their summer outdoor meetings
and will be organizing their local
bus trips to Mammoth. Action
Ski Club will be going to Telluride and Jackson Hole in 2018
and North Island Snowdrifters
will be going to Steamboat.
The SDCSC will be finalizing the annual Man and Woman
of the Year Gala. This year, the
theme will be Casino Royale, to
be held at the Mission Bay Sail
and Ski Club. The SDCSC will
close out the year by hosting the
Christmas Holiday Happy Hour
in mid December.

The members of the 11
Sierra Council clubs and race
teams enthusiastically welcome
new members to join in their
snowsports and other activities.
Our larger member clubs offer a
variety of year-round activities,
including golf, tennis, campouts,
hiking, trips to summer festivals,
and additional opportunities for
social interaction at meetings,
parties and happy hours.
There are two Sierra Council ski clubs in Las Vegas - the Las
Vegas Alpine Ski and Snowboard
Club and the Las Vegas Ski,
Snowboard and Sports Club.
They offer winter ski trips, hiking
and year-round social activities.
There are three clubs based
in Truckee. The Tahoe Donner
Senior Alpine Ski Club members
mostly live in Tahoe Donner.
They enjoy group ski days at
Lake Tahoe ski resorts through-
out the winter, as well as social
activities. The Bota Baggers Ski
Club has a strong racing focus.
Although the Cabernet Ski
and Race Club is based in Truckee, the members live in a variety
of locations. As its name indicates, the club's primary focus is
The Capital Ski and Sports
Club, based in Sacramento, offers
skiing and social activities. The
Sequoia Ski Club is in Visalia,
California. The RU Ski Club draws
primarily from the Bay Area.
Many of the members are of
The Reno Ski and Recreation
Club offers a full schedule of social activities throughout the year,
plus summer camping trips and
group ski days at Lake Tahoe resorts.
