The 3,600 foot course takes the rider(s)
swiftly through the forest and around boulders. It's so exciting you may even miss the
beautiful scenery of the lake in the distance.
Although the speed can go up to 55 miles per
hour, riders have full control along this gravity propelled track. It has a 300 foot vertical
If tubing down a 500 foot hill is a more
comfortable speed, take the carpet lift up and
do it again! And, again. The tickets are for
three rides down the hill. Great for the young
and the young at heart! For the real little
ones, a 250 foot mini tubing course is located
alongside the longer course.
For calmer activities - yet still very enjoyable and educational, guided open-air off
road ATV tours are available, as well as, numerous hiking trails which can be taken at
your own pace.
For a break, if desired, grab a bite to eat
at the Tamarack Lodge while you relax and
contemplate your next adventure. Perhaps its
one of the zip lines. The 100' Red Tail Flyer only 15 feet off the ground - is an introductory
course. For those who want more excitement,,
try the Blue Streak (3,300' long) with exceptional lake views, or the Hot Shot Zip Line
which features four parallel lines. Race your
friends along this 1,000' line. Or, try the 25'
Granite Peak Climbing Wall. There are numerous routes up the wall, varying in difficulty.
Many of the adventures at Epic Discovery will open for the season on June 16. The
newest Zip Line Tour - Silver Rush on the
East Peak, overlooks the Carson Valley. It is
scheduled to open on June 24. By July 1, all

The Lake Tahoe Basin is known for its memorable hiking trails north, south, east and west
of the water. Scattered along the shores, many
trails are easily accessible, and offer exceptional views. Some are quite long and more
strenuous as they ascend the slopes and cover
miles of terrain, while others are short - without much climbing.

Beach Cities Ski Club's Annual Clambake will be held October 12-14, 2018 at Live Oak Campground
northeast of Santa Barbara. The cost includes a two night camping fee, live music on Friday and Saturday
