Vision Care Product News 2007 Panorama Portfolios - (Page 37) Wester Innovations The Oxygen collection, like the Elements line, features Framescape’s screw-free flexible-mount temples. These ingenious temples are designed to break away from the frame instead of becoming permanently damaged. Should the frame be struck, the temple simply pops off the chassis. It also easily snaps back in place. You’ll find that they are as easily adjusted as conventional temples. Instead of the eyewire screws used in conventional frames, the Oxygen collection utilizes an expanding clip mounting for lens retention. Simply insert an optical screwdriver and the eyewire opens, enabling the lens to be added. Snap the eyewire closed and the lens is snuggly in place—all without screws. Khamsin The Collection There are nine new frame models— a semi-rimless monel, one full-rimmed monel, and seven zyls. Among the monel offerings, the Wester is a semirimless design with a bright plated finish and a modified rectangular shape that has sharp, European angles. The dazzling chrome finish is offset by black temples which complement the contemporary appeal of Framescape’s unique temple-mounting system. Zephyr is a full-rimmed monel with such a unique shape and appearance that it is hard to describe as fitting into any category. Retro, yet modern, sexy, yet conservative, with a shape that is both a modified rectangle and a modified oval, the Zephyr is appealing and distinctive. Exhale, a beautifully crafted zyl, glows with deep, rich colors. The functional, retro-styled chassis endpiece rivets invoke a bit of nostalgia. Exhale’s special hinge is offset, distinct from the zyl chassis and temples. An ultra-modern design features old-school frame-building techniques that show off the beauty of the frame’s styling. Inspira is a translucent modified oval zyl with matching color temples. Bold, exciting colors include golden topaz, cobalt, and onyx leopard. Khasmin, a modified rectangular zyl with wide temporal edges, is a color-coordinated double laminate. Its solid color chassis faces outward; an accent color faces the back and temples in a wide range of patterns and colors. Merchandising All of Framescape’s frames come with a hard case featuring a magnetic double closure top bearing the Framescape logo. Every opening order receives an A-frame which displays the case and frame in an artistic manner. Point-of-purchase items include a 7-in. LCD media player.
