Make no mistake, Soon frames are meant to be seen.Their stripes, edgy angles, and bold retro shapes are what sets this line apart from others. Three full-rimmed and three semirimless configurations comprise the collection. Each model is a metal/zyl combination frame offered in one size and two bold color choices with spring hinges.To help create some drama, the frames use a matte finish on the monel and lustrous, deep, rich colors on the acetate components. Seiko added a cool yet understated logo on the front of the left temple to identify the brand. A Closer Look Two of the semi-rimless models are a women’s and men’s set (Style Nos. S5808 and S5807, respectively) and are the highlight of the collection. Style No. S5810 is a full-rimmed rectangular zyl with a thin, forwardlooking profile transitioning into wide endpieces that smoothly taper through the temples.This is a provocative piece that can easily be worn by both women and men.Another full-rimmed unisex zyl is Style No. S5805. It has an angular rectangle front with a thin forward appearance coupled with two colors horizontally fading into each other. Women’s Style No. S5804 has an angular full zyl front and tapering metal temples that match the dominant color of the front. Men’s Style No. S5802 is the other semi-rimless model with a zyl front and the same tapering metal temples. Pricing Seiko made this collection’s price point very reasonable in order to give eyecare professionals the opportunity to carry a truly unique, fashion-forward design that won’t blow the frame budget out the window. It’s a clever pricing strategy that should be very appealing. Marketing Materials Seiko supports the Soon line with a six-piece P-O-P kit that includes a space-saving countertop frame display that esoterically resembles an “S” shape and has the Soon logo displayed on it.You’ll also find eye-catching counter cards to entice onlookers. Cases have a nice compact hard foldover construction with a bold yellow diagonal flap with the logo proudly presented on the black case body.
