ORGANIZATIONS AES Partners on World Issues Carbon sequestration is the term describing processes that remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, often applied to the work that plants do in building soils and plant materials. Applied Ecological Services, Inc. (AES) is at the forefront of a partnership to assess a wide range of strategies capable of reducing greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide, by capturing atmospheric carbon through plants and storing it in plant tissue and in soil.
