Watt, MS EE 86, has been inducted into Clemson University’s Thomas Green Clemson Academy of Engineers and Scientists. Watt, who earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering at Clemson, is president and CEO of the Scientific Research Corp., which provides electronic systems and engineering services to public and private sectors in countries around the world. He has directed the development of air-traffic control, communication, air defense, electronic surveillance and industrial controls systems. Watt serves on the advisory board for Clemson’s department of electrical and computer engineering. Steve Diamond, ID 99, of Hillsboro, Ore., has been promoted to senior design manager of Nike Equipment at Nike Inc. Diamond will be managing and designing Global product lines, including equipment developed for Georgia Tech athletes. Ramblin’ Roll Emily Leichliter Berner, ChE 98, and Brian Berner, ME 96, announce the birth of a daughter, Bethany Joyce, on May 16. Brian is general manager of the Southern States Service Division in Hampton, Ga. A full-time mother, Emily stays at the family’s Zebulon, Ga., home with Bethany and their dogs, Jake and Rodney. Stacy Poper Bourne, Mgt 96, and her husband, Matt Bourne, Mgt 95, announce the birth of a daughter, Mackenzie Gloria, on May 17. She joins brother Jack, 4, at the family’s home in Dublin, Ohio. Stacy is an independent contractor for Tea Collection. Matt is regional manager for the Midmark Corp. Beth Lilly Brown, NE 96, MS ME 98, and her husband, Scott, announce the birth of a son, Benjamin Wesley, on March 21. Ben joins brother Carter at the family’s home in Macon, Ga. Brown is a structured finance manager with Ameresco Inc. Jessica Duncan Cance, Chem 99, and her husband, Paul, of Durham, N.C., announce the birth of a son, Johnathan Duncan, on June 7. Duncan Cance is pursuing a doctoral degree in the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Greg Clough, ME 97, and his wife, Jalaja, announce the birth of a daughter, Priya Marie, on Feb. 26. She joins her brother, Nathan, 2, at the Clough family’s home in Duluth, Ga. Clough is a project manager for Hargrove and Associates. Kristin Patterson Edmunds, Mgt 99, and her husband, Tim, announce the birth of a daughter, Lauren Rose, on May 13. She joins her sister, Brooke, 2, at the family’s 1990s Roger D.
