CORSINI, IM 80, is president of Corsini Consulting Group LLC, a business coaching and strategic planning firm based in Birmingham, Ala. Founded in 1992, Corsini’s company primarily works with high-growth, entrepreneurial, privately held firms in the Southeast. Corsini is the author of “Do What You Do Better With the 7 F’s of True Success,” a business book with a wholeperson approach to a life of true, measurable success at work and outside the office. Corsini has been an active alumnus for more than 20 years. He is past president of the Birmingham Area Georgia Tech Club. While president, he received the Volunteer of the Year award from the Alumni Association. He also is president of a nonprofit organization committed to broadcasting Catholic radio throughout central and north Alabama. He and his wife, Susan, live in Birmingham with their three children. TRACEY COUNTRYMAN, IM 98, of New York City, is an executive senior manager for Accenture in its chemicals and natural resources practices. She joined Accenture after graduation from Tech to work in the firm’s resources strategy practice and advise Fortune 500 companies on topics such as supply chain and sales and marketing strategies. At Georgia Tech, Countryman was president of Anak, a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and the recipient of the Merri Gaye Hitt Memorial Scholarship and certificates of study in marketing, finance and psychology. Countryman received the Women of Distinction undergraduate award in 1998. She was named a Ramblin’ Wreck Volunteer of the Year in 1999. STEVEN COVER, Arch 78, M Arch 81, M CP 81, became commissioner of the city of Atlanta’s Department of Planning and Community Development in January 2006. He has direct responsibility for the management and oversight of the planning, building, housing and code enforcement divisions as well as the Atlanta Urban Design Commission. Cover previously was director of the Department of Environment and Community Development for Fulton County. He and his team won the Distinguished Achievement in Planning Award from the Georgia Planning Association in 2004. The Atlanta Regional Commission presented him its Exceptional Merit Award for a master plan in 2003. He received the Outstanding Plan Implementation Award from the Georgia Planning Association that same year. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and the Regional Leadership Institute. He serves on the Georgia Planning Association board and the Urban Land Institute-Atlanta Division executive board. Steven and Barbara Cover live in Duluth, Ga. He has two children, Leah and Jordan. MARIAN H. EPPS, IM 83, is the chief financial officer for Epps Aviation, an Atlanta aircraft sales and services company. While attending Georgia Tech, she obtained her commercial pilot certificate with instrument and multiengine ratings and simultaneously introduced the thrill of flying to fellow Georgia Tech Chair William J. Todd, IM 71 is president of the Georgia Cancer Coalition and former executive director of the Commission for a New Georgia. He founded Encina Technology Ventures in partnership with Atlanta developer Tom Cousins in 2000. Todd was founding president of the Georgia Research Alliance, which he managed for 10 years. Todd serves on the boards of the Georgia Tech Foundation, Georgia Tech Ireland, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the national board of the American Cancer Society. He received the honorary engineering alumnus award from the College of Engineering in 2000 and was elected to the Academy of Distinguished Alumni by the College of Management in 2005. The Alumni Association presented him the Dean Griffin Community Service Award in 2006. He and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Atlanta and have two sons, Hayes, Mgt 05, and David, Mgt 07. Past Chair C. Meade Sutterfield, EE 72 is a private equity investor, primarily in emerging telecommunications and wireless communications entities. He has served on the board of trustees since 1998. He also has served on the Alexander-Tharpe Fund board, chaired the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering external advisory board and was a member of the College of Engineering external advisory board. He is a member of the Academy of Distinguished Engineering Alumni. He is married to Susan Johnson Sutterfield, has three grown stepchildren and two grandchildren. Members At Large Scott Jennings, ME 89 of Dunwoody, Ga., is senior director of Client Services for Holder Construction Co. in Atlanta. At Tech, he was a coop student and president of the Chi Phi fraternity and the Georgia Tech soccer club. As an Alumni Association trustee from 2004 to 2007, Jennings was involved in the alumni-student mentor program. He currently serves on Tech’s Building Construction Program advisory board. He and his wife, Tracey King Jennings, ME 89, served as class steering committee co-chairs for Roll Call. He is active in the Construction Owners Association of America and CoreNet Global and serves on the program committees for both groups. He and Tracey have three children, Emily, Lauren and Ryan. Chair-Elect/Finance Joseph W. Evans, IM 71 is the managing principal of Bankers’ Capital Group LLC, an Atlanta-based private equity firm that he founded in 2006. Evans previously served as CEO of three banking organizations: Bank Corporation of Georgia, which merged with Century South Banks in 1997; Century South Banks, which was acquired by BB&T in 2001; and Flag Financial Corp., which was acquired by RBC Centura in 2006. Evans is a director of Southern Trust Insurance and also serves on the boards of St. Martin’s Episcopal School, the Alexander-Tharpe Fund and the College of Management, which inducted him into its Academy of Distinguished Alumni. He and his wife, Raena, spend considerable time on their six-generation family farm in Smarr, Ga. They have two daughters and six grandchildren. LeShelle May, MS OR 89 is a senior systems/software developer for CNN, where she is responsible for maintaining Mediasource, one of the nation’s leading video content management databases and low-resolution Web browsing systems. May earned an electrical engineering degree from Boston University and attended Tech through a Graduate Engineering for Minorities fellowship sponsored by Digital Equipment Corp., for which she worked as an intern. She sits on the Alumni Association board of trustees. She and her husband, Gary May, the chair of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Tech, live in Atlanta and have two daughters, Simone and Jordan. Vice Chair for Roll Call Al Trujillo, AE 81 is an investor and adviser to private equity funds. Until 2007, he served as the chief executive officer of Recall Corp., a global document and information management company with operations in 23 countries. His career includes leading business and industrial service companies both in the United States and overseas. Trujillo currently serves as the non-executive director of Havertys Corp., a New York Stock Exchange-listed company in the retail furniture industry. In this capacity, he sits on the corporate governance and executive compensation committees. Elected to the Georgia Tech Council of Outstanding Young Engineering Alumni, Trujillo serves on the College of Engineering’s external advisory board. A former trustee of the Alumni Association, he actively recruits Hispanic students to Tech. Trujillo also serves on the board of the Marist School. Trujillo emigrated from Cuba as an infant and grew up in south Florida, where he graduated from Belen Jesuit High School in Miami. At Tech, he was the top-ranking graduating senior in the Class of 1981. He earned a graduate engineering degree and MBA at Stanford University. Trujillo and his wife, Melba, are the parents of two daughters. Edward L. Underwood, IE 71 is the retired chief executive officer of Arcapita Investments. He previously worked for 10 years for Investcorp Bank in Bahrain. He serves on the board of Cirrus Design Corp., an aircraft manufacturer, and is active on the Ferst Center board at Georgia Tech. He is a former president of the American Men’s Association in Bahrain and was active in the Rotary Club in that country. Underwood received an MBA from Cornell in 1981.
