AMY LANCASTER Dean Griffin Day Jane Ammons, PhD IE 82, associate dean in the College of Engineering and a professor in the Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, tells faculty and staff honorees at the Dean Griffin Day luncheon that they probably won’t be remembered for the papers they have written, journals they have edited or grant proposals they have pitched. “Our huge impact really is the lives that we touch,” Ammons says. “You’ve touched the future. Long after you’re gone there will be this legacy.” More than 500 letters of appreciation and invitations to the luncheon were sent to faculty and staff members nominated by students.
