Allen, Mgt 91, MS Mgt 93, has been named First Tennessee Professor at the University of Memphis. Allen is an associate professor in the Fogelman College of Business and Economics and lives in Lakeland, Tenn., with wife Heather, daughter Hadley, 3, and son Dawson, 5. Casey Etheridge Bradford, Mgt 99, and her husband, Tim, announce the birth of a son, Will, on May 16. Will joins his brother, Tim, 4, at the family’s home in Dunwoody, Ga. Bradford works part time as an account manager for a custom home builder in Dunwoody. Angela Dunn Cartledge, Mgt 97, and her husband, Brian, announce the birth of a son, Porter Nelson, on Jan. 24. The family lives in Flowery Branch, Ga. Susan Davis, Biol 91, is back in Atlanta at CARE with a new role as executive director of innovative partnership models. She will explore and develop strategies and models of engagement that will empower CARE’s partners to promote and create sustainable solutions to challenges that affect the poorest people. Davis’ work will build on lessons learned and credibility established during her 13-month consulting assignment as the environmental programs director for CocaCola’s Beijing Olympics project group and her prior work experience with CARE in managing corporate relationships in the Southeast region. Shawn Dollar, Mgt 97, and his wife, Beth, announce the birth of a son, Griffin Dean, on April 19. The family lives in Dacula, Ga. Amanda McFarlin Fill, Mgt 99, and James C. Fill, ChE 99, announce the birth of a son, Andrew James, on Sept. 22. Andrew joins sister Elizabeth, 2, at the family’s home in Leesburg, Ga. Amanda is a full-time mother. James is employed as a manager at Procter & Gamble. Liza Lovejoy Fritchley, Mgt 97, vice president for senior services at West Georgia Health System in LaGrange, Ga., has been named to Georgia Trend magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40 Business Leaders” list for 2007-08. She and her husband, Andy Fritchley, ME 96, have three children: twin sons Aaron and Nathan, 5, and daughter Tatum, 3. Carrie Greene Fuoco, BC 99, and James Fuoco, IE 96, MBA 04, announce the birth of their son, Andrew James, on Aug. 7. Carrie works for Turner Construction Co. James works for PricewaterhouseCoopers. The family lives in Sparta, N.J. Theresa Schlitt Glantzberg, MS EE 95, and David Glantzberg, ME 94, announce the birth of a daughter, Grace Marie, on June 8. Grace joins her brother, Kyle, 5, at the family’s home in Allen, Texas. Theresa is a systems engineer at Raytheon, and David is a project manager at Texas Instruments. Jennifer Thomas Guidroz, Chem 96, and her husband, Andrew, announce the birth of a daughter, Sarah Elizabeth, on Aug. 29. She joins sister Anna, 2, at the family’s home in Baton Rouge, La. Guidroz is a pediatrician in private group practice at The Baton Rouge Clinic AMC. Herbert S. Hasell, ME 90, and his wife, Ruth Gratzke Hasell, announce the birth of their daughter, Catherine Anne, on Aug. 11. Hasell is a Navy pilot, and the family lives in Atlanta. Bradley W. Haynes, Mgt 93, of Dallas, has been promoted to director of Legg Mason & Co. LLC, one of the world’s largest asset managers. Haynes has been with Legg Mason, or a predecessor firm, since 1996, when he started his career as an assistant vice president and sales director covering the Southwest. In 1998 and 2001, he was recognized as Sales Director of the Year. Thomas Hicks, ABiol 99, was selected for promotion to lieutenant commander in the Navy in August. A physician, he currently is assigned to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Virginia. He and his wife, Emily Herron Hicks, Mgt 99, live in Chesapeake, Va., with their daughters, Madeline and Caroline. Courtney Huskamp Huggins, ChE 98, and R. Brian Huggins, ChE 98, announce the birth of a daughter, Meredith Erin, on Sept. 28. Courtney is a senior technical analyst at NuVox Communications, and Brian is a production engineer at Cytec Industries Inc. The family lives in Anderson, S.C. Jeff Jones, MatE 96, and his wife, Janae, announce the birth of a daughter, Elizabeth Marie, on May 12. Jones is a sales representative for Shaw Industries. The family lives in Simpsonville, S.C. Jun Kamata, ChE 96, has joined the Seattle office of McKinsey & Company as an associate. Kamata graduated from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University with an MBA in June. He completed a summer internship in McKinsey’s Seattle office in 2007. Mandy Shumway Kelley, IE 93, and John Kelley, CE 92, announce the birth of a son, Baxter William, on Jan. 14. He joins siblings Laura, 3, Pete, 4, and Scott, 6, at the family’s home in the Sandy Springs, Ga., area. Mandy is a full-time mother, and John works for Cousins Properties. Amanda is a real estate broker, and Josh is a principal at UPS. Ramblin’ Roll GARY MEEK White-and-gold-plated Pride Chair Bill Todd marked the Alumni Association’s centennial in a unique way: He bought license plates. The Georgia Tech tag on his white truck reads 1908, the year the Alumni Association was formally chartered. The 2008 tag on his gold car pays tribute to the centennial year. Holly Fisher Lee, IE 97, and Chris Lee, IE 96, MBA 04, announce the birth of a son, Hudson Christopher, on May 29. Hudson joins sisters Faith, 2, and Aubrey, 4, at the family’s home in Alpharetta, Ga. Holly is a full-time mother, and Chris owns and directs a learning center franchise, Mathnasium.
