Simply contact Golf Industry Travel and a professional representative will research all routes and flights into New Orleans to obtain the best fare for your specific needs. Reservations can also be made online via the Hotel and Travel section at gcsaa.org/conference. American, Continental, Delta and Northwest are the official airlines for the New Orleans events. Contracts have been negotiated with these airlines to offer bonus programs to the association and/or a 5 percent discount off the lowest applicable airfares. New Orleans is serviced by the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY). The airport is conveniently located just 15 miles from the New Orleans Morial Convention Center and the official hotels of the GCSAA Education Conference and the Golf Industry Show. Shuttle Bus Service Hop on board the complimentary shuttle buses for a quick ride from your hotel to the New Orleans Morial Convention Center. New Orleans is known for its “walkability,” and many hotels are close enough to the convention center that you can walk. Refer to the Hotel/Convention Center Locator Map in this section to see which hotels are “walk” and which are on the shuttle route. Recommended dress for the GCSAA Education Conference and the Golf Industry Show is business casual for seminars and golf casual attire for all other events. Friday, Feb. 6 5:30 – 9 pm Ground Transportation Taxicabs Taxis are readily available on the streets of New Orleans and at the airport. A cab ride from the airport to the official conference hotels is approximately $35 for one person. New Orleans Streetcars The New Orleans streetcar line services Canal Street from the Mississippi River to Mid-City. The historic St. Charles Avenue line extends to the Garden District and Napoleon Avenue. This New Orleans icon is a must-ride while you’re in New Orleans! Airport Shuttle Airport Shuttle New Orleans offers shuttle service to/from the airport and the downtown, French Quarter and convention center hotels.
