invited to tackle a sprawling open world brimming with Orc-slaughtering opportunities, from forging a new Ring of
Power and conquering enemy-infested fortresses to molding character interactions and even amassing their very

Just in time for All Hallow's Eve
comes the sequel to 2014's most
unsettling scare-fest. Produced
by Resident Evil creator - and
survival horror maestro - Shinji
Mikami, The Evil Within 2 puts
players back in the quaking
boots of down-on-his-luck
detective Sebastian Castellanos,
as he desperately searches for
his abducted daughter. Nervefraying environments, nightmareconjuring creatures and buckets
of blood force survival-focused
players to leverage an inventive
arsenal of weapons, traps and
stealth skills.

2013's LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
still stands as the best among the
series' seemingly million brickbusting entries, so it's easy to get our
spandex in a twist over its sequel.
On top of sporting the sprawling
cast, pop culture-skewering
humor and endless collectibles
you'd expect from the series, the
follow-up features an original
Marvel story, new powers and a
four-player competitive mode that
allows friends to fight each other as
their favorite Marvel icons.

The Nintendo Switch has its killer
app in Link's latest Zelda-rescuing
romp, but the platforming
plumber's next outing could
unseat the tunic-wearing tyke.
Unfolding in a vibrant sandbox
world, Super Mario Odyssey sports
all the colorful characters, shiny
collectibles and clever gameplay
you'd expect from the series, but
ambitiously ups the ante with
imaginative new features and
inventive mechanics. Most notably,
players can assume control of
objects and enemies with Mario's
hat-like helper Cappy.

Shooting Nazis has always
been a favorite pastime among
gamers, but nobody does it better
than ammo-blasting hero B.J.
Blazkowicz. The one-man-army
protagonist returns in Wolfenstein
II: The New Colossus to do what
he does best, but the sequel's also
building on its predecessor's best
moments by including more quirky
character interactions, bizarre boss
encounters and adversaries you'll
love to hate. New death-dealers, a
stateside setting and milkshakeloving Nazis round out the overthe-top fun.

Following rival series Battlefield
1's successful trip to the
trenches of the first World War,
Call of Duty is returning to the
historically accurate frontlines
of World War II. More than just a
departure from the franchise's
futuristic outings, though,
WWII promises a cinematic
campaign that favors heroism,
camaraderie and heartwrenching emotion as much as
special-effects-spewing action.
Those craving a less serious take
can frag their friends online or
join them to thwart an all-new
zombie threat.
