sources are providing a boost for local economies in our state. “Hooray for Hollywood!” —Joe Hartley, Marietta More on movies I enjoyed the latest issue about movies made in Georgia. There’s an additional movie worth mentioning. My nephew Jason Winn filmed a movie in Newnan last summer and is in post-production now. The movie is set for release in early 2010. Everyone involved and many who have seen the trailer are extremely excited for its release. The movie’s title is “The Fat Boy Chronicles,” and the Web site is www.thefatboychron —Frederick L. Winn, via e-mail Guess where this is and you could win $25! Welcome to “Picture this?” a monthly contest where we print a reader’s photo showing a Georgia place—and you get a chance to guess where the picture was taken! We will reward the reader whose photo is published—as well as the person who correctly guesses where it was taken—with $25 each. (If more than one person guesses correctly, we’ll draw from among all correct answers to determine the winner.) Winners’ names and where the photo was taken will appear in a future issue. Love the insight I don’t know if Paul Wood, Georgia EMC’s president/CEO, has ever written professionally, but he ought to. I like most of his articles, and I love his insight. “A new decade begins” [see January 2010, page 5] was just chock full of wisdom that many of our leaders on both sides of the aisle seem to lack. It’s kinda sad that we lost our respect for each other’s differences and replaced it with scare tactics from some of the big media names. And Wood’s article on those chain e-mails with all the phony supposed “information” that people just pass on, sending waves of outrage and fear throughout our nation was another that stands out. [See “George Orwell got it wrong,” November 2009, page 5.] Thank you, Mr. Wood. I’d like to shake your hand one day and tell you how much I think of you. But if that never happens, just know this: You may have someone who is a bigger fan or more dedicated than me, but I’ll bet that I come in a strong second. —Dave Kitchen, Townsend We welcome your letters.
