More than 60 athletes from across the country will converge on Skydive the Farm in Rockmart June 14-16 for the 2012 United States Parachute Association Skydiving Championships of Canopy Piloting. The event, free and open to the public, features competitions in speed, distance and accuracy, in which pilots swoop through courses across ground and water, reaching speeds of 75 mph. Competitors will be vying for a spot on the U.S. Parachute Team and the chance to represent the U.S. at the world championships later this year.
