If you’re using a navigational device, enter “Rome, GA” for directions. Attractions • The Chieftains Museum and Major Ridge Home, in Rome. Part of Georgia’s Trail of Tears, this museum preserves Cherokee and Native American history and culture. Oak Hill is the Greek Revival home of Martha Berry, who founded the college that bears her name. The museum, house and grounds tell the story of the school’s evolution. You’ll ﬁnd a variety of historical and family attractions in the area. Attractions • Auchumpkee Creek Covered Bridge. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this bridge was constructed in 1892.
