Road names don't matter nearly so much as landmarks, like the barbecue joint, the old such-and-such family place, the firehouse, the corner store. Just look for one of those and take a left. You'll get where you're going, eventually. If you are like me and tend to be road-name-dependent, in the country most roads are called "Something Dairy" road or "Something Mill" road. These roads actually lead to the dairy or the mill. And, of course, "Something Church" road (which leads to the old cemetery, because the church burned down in 1959). You might actually get lucky and find a road sign at an intersection. But it might be turned all cattywampus, and you don't know which road is which. When in doubt, just go down to where the goat peed on the rock. You'll be fine. All roads (Mill, Church or Dairy) in the country have a speed limit of 55. Whether it is dirt or paved, county-maintained or state highway, is irrelevant. It doesn't matter how many potholes are in said road, how regularly cows get out on said road or how many car-chasing dogs or tractor drivers live on said road. You are still welcome to drive 55.
