Carrier Screening Test
Through a partnership with Mount Sinai Genetic Testing
Laboratory, an expanded Horizon™ genetic carrier screening
test for prospective families is now available for OB/GYNs.
The multidisease genetic carrier screen provides results for
genetic disorders including cystic fibrosis, spinal muscular
atrophy (SMA), and Tay-Sachs disease. The expanded Horizon
test increases detection rates for SMA, refines risks for Fragile
X syndrome, and offers expanded screening for the Ashkenazi
Jewish population.

Cytomegalovirus Detection Assay
The Iam CMV assay can detect and quantify clinically relevant
subtypes of cytomegalovirus (CMV) in human plasma, urine,
and cerebrospinal fluid, which can in turn be used to diagnose
and monitor CMV infection in transplant recipients and other
immunocompromised individuals. Based on Q-LAMP technology,
Iam CMV is designed for use on the Liaison® Iam analyzer.

Carbapenemase-Producing
Gram-Negative Bacteria Detection
The Xpert® Carba-R is an on-demand molecular test
for rapid and accurate detection of carbapenemaseproducing Gram-negative bacteria that runs on
the GeneXpert® System. Xpert Carba-R detects and
differentiates genes
encoding the most prevalent
carbapenemases-reporting
five gene families that comprise
68 known individual resistance
genes, including KPC, NDM,
VIM, OXA-48, and IMP-1.

Pharmacogenetic Test
The Millennium PGT pharmacogenetic test has been expanded
and now analyzes genetic variants for 11 genes related to
medication response. Millennium PGT is a saliva-based test and
is paired with the Millennium Analysis of
Patient Phenotype (MAPP®) report, which
provides clinicians with information to
support medication decisions for over
30 commonly prescribed medications
across 14 medication classes. The MAPP
report also includes information for
20 medications with pharmacogenetic
information or specific recommendations
related to use in their FDA-approved labels.
