A favorite snowmobiling spot among locals is Sunlight-to-Powderhorn Trail, boasting an astonishing 120 continuous miles of maintained track and access to the Grand Mesa. Also check out the pristine Flat Tops area north of Glenwood Springs. Pick up maps at Summit Canyon Mountaineering or Factory Surplus Stores. If you came to Glenwood without your own snowmobile, Sunlight Mountain Resort offers guided tours. Snowshoeing Take the whole family out to enjoy this kidfriendly sport on the Sunlight Mountain Nordic Trails, Four Mile Park, Hanging Lake, or Jeanne Golay Trail on Red Mountain. Nordic Skiing Strap on your skinny skis and head to Sunlight Mountain Resort, which has 29 kilometers of trails in the White River National Forest.
