Twenty-two acres at the confluence of the Colorado and Roaring Fork rivers, Two Rivers Park is the site of the Glenwood Skate Park with its ramps, rails and pipes. There are restrooms, lighted fields, picnic areas, a new playground and horseshoe pits. Two Rivers Park hosts several annual concerts at the large outdoor amphitheatre. Horseshoe Bend Along the Colorado River on the bike path between Glenwood and No Name, Horseshoe Park is 16 acres with picnic tables and great canyon views. Veltus Park At the corner of Midland Avenue and 8th Street along the Roaring Fork River, Veltus Park has three picnic shelters— including two with water and lights. The park has two sets of restrooms, picnic tables, volleyball court, barbecue pits and a new playground. Park amenities include tennis and basketball courts, horseshoe pits and a wheelchair-accessible fishing ramp. Sayre Park Sayre Park is located in the center of Glenwood Springs. Its amenities include a playground, two picnic shelters and restrooms. The park also features two tennis courts, baseball fields and a basketball court, all with new lights, as well as volleyball courts and a lighted gazebo. Axtell Park Just behind the Chamber Resort Association on Grand Avenue, Axtell Park offers picnic tables, a barbecue, restrooms and a new playground surrounded by ADA-accessible walkways. Park East One of Glenwood’s newer parks along the Roaring Fork River has a small gazebo and education kiosk. Sopris Park Glenwood’s newest ball park next to Sopris Elementary in Glenwood Park. Glenwood PArk Three Mile Park Picnic tables, playground and volleyball courts in the Glenwood Park neighborhood. Glenwood Park Near to Sopris Elementary School, with a basketball court and soccer field. Sister Lucy Downey Park A small park located on Highway 6 and 24, which has a few picnic tables. Gregory Park In West Glenwood on Center Drive, this neighborhood park features a playground, picnic shelter and horseshoe pit. Centennial Park This small park is located in downtown Glenwood at 8th and Grand Avenue. Vogelaar Adjacent to Glenwood Springs Elementary School, Vogelaar Park has a playground and lighted softball field. Off-Leash Dog Area River Dog Run, The Central Bark of Glenwood Springs Fido will enjoy a pet playground with obstacle course features in a fenced area.
