Hot Springs Lodge and Pool, formerly the Glenwood Springs Stone Bathhouse, Natatorium and Yampah Hot Springs, all completed by 1890. The city was built around this famous attraction. Once turn-of-the-century Glenwood Barber Shop, the modern day Narcissus Beauty Salon at 726 Grand Ave. is the only remaining portion of the Hotel Glenwood from 1884. At 715 Grand is a building that looks almost the same as the original Silver Club of 1895. The club was a posh men’s saloon from 1895 to 1920, but now it is home to retail shops and the Italian Underground Restaurant. The Hotel Denver and Star Hotel (now the Glenwood Brewing Company). The Hotel Denver also served as the temporary home to legendary Chicago gangster, Diamond Jack. The former Citizen’s Bank building, eighth and Grand is the city’s latest addition to the National Historic register. Denver & Rio Grande Railroad Station, Pitkin and Seventh. The red sandstone and brick building replaced the original station at Pitkin and Seventh that was then 17 years old.
